In 1989, following the formation of Richard Bacon Associates which specialises in management accounting taxation and business advice, Richard Bacon and Alan Gravelius formed a separate partnership, Congrave & Co.
The firm is regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. audits.
Richard Bacon is an Affiliate of the Institute.
During recent years there has been a move to distinguish between the function of the accountants ( that invariably prepare the accounts ) and the auditor who seeks to ensure compliance with the relevant formal accounting and reporting standards.
Currently statutory audits are undertaken by virtue of a reciprocal arrangement with an independent firm and we therefore believe that our structure achieves this important distinction.
